According to a recent study by Forbes Best Cities 2018 out of the top 10 best cities for business in Romania, 7 is located in the West and the Central area of the country. The ranking is as follows: Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj Napoca, Brasov, Arad, Constanta, Alba Iulia, Oradea, Sibiu, Iasi. Five of the criteria the study relies on are quantitative: regional GDP, GDP per inhabitant, average salary, unemployment and investments.
Romania’s food imports went up by 9.5% in the first nine months of 2017 compared to the same period of 2016, reaching EUR 5.21 billion, according to Romania-Insider.com
